PERFECT PIE CRUST | |
4 c. unsifted flour 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1 lg. egg, beaten 1 3/4 c Crisco or lard 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 c. water Put flour, sugar, salt and Crisco in bowl, mix until crumbly. In small bowl mix egg, vinegar and water, add to flour mixture, stir with fork until well mixed. Knead dough until you have a ball. Divide into portions. Can be kept in refrigerator for 3 days or frozen until ready to use. |
