JAM THUMBPRINT COOKIES | |
2/3 c. butter 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs, separated 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. walnuts 1/2 c. strawberry jam Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, vanilla, salt. Beat. Gradually add flour. Shape into 3/4 inch balls and dip in slightly beaten egg whites. Roll in walnuts. Place 1 inches apart on greased sheet. Press in middle; add 1/4 teaspoon jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. |
