CURRANT COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. currants

Mix flour, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and sugar together in large bowl. Then add remaining ingredients. Soak currants in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain. Blend into mixture. Roll batter out like a pie; cut out cookies with a cookie cutter or glass. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
