SNOWY MASHED POTATOES 
12 medium or 4 lb. potatoes
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 c. sour cream
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. chives
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tbsp. butter

Cook potatoes and drain; mash. Add cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and garlic. Beat at high speed until smooth. Stir in chives. Put in lightly greased 2 1/2-quart dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Dot with butter.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

May be prepared several days ahead.
