1 gal. apple cider 1 qt. cranberry juice cocktail 1 tbsp. whole cloves 3 cinnamon sticks 1 c. apple jack, brandy or schnapps (optional) In a suitable sauce pot (preferably stainless steel or porcelain), combine first 4 ingredients and bring to a boil. After boiling is achieved, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. Skim any doamas it collects on top. Strain and serve hot with an orange slice stuck with cloves. Add brandy last. Makes 2 (8 ounce) portions. |
