LAYERED VEGETABLE SALAD 
1 sm. head lettuce
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. finely chopped red onion
10 oz. pkg. frozen English peas
1 pt. sour cream
4 oz. grated cheddar cheese
8 to 10 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 c. diced sweet red pepper
1 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar

Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and lay on bottom of 9 x 13 x 2 inch glass dish. Sprinkle the celery, peppers, onions over lettuce. Do not cook peas. Break the frozen peas apart and spread over the top of other ingredients. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and sugar and spoon over peas. Sprinkle grated cheese over all. Sprinkle with bacon. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. Serves 10 to 12.
