MAPLE FUDGE 
1 lb. maple sugar
1 c. milk
Pinch of soda
1 c. walnut meats, cut in pieces

Shave maple sugar and melt it, and the soda, and when well blended, add the milk. Boil until soft ball will form, when dropped in cold water. Remove from fire and beat until smooth and creamery. Add the nut meats and pour into a shallow pan which has been well greased. When cold, cut in squares.
