I HATE TO COOK BRATS IN KRAUT 
6 to 8 bratwurst (turkey ones work fine)
2 or 3 strips of bacon
Can of sauerkraut
Lg. can (28 oz.) stewed tomatoes

Brown bacon. Add the sauerkraut and tomatoes; heat to boiling. Add the bratwurst; lower heat. Simmer 45 minutes. You may wish to wash the kraut first and drain. A little brown sugar can also be added, if desired.
