MARY MARTIN'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/2 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. coriander
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. garlic salt
3 bay leaves
1 lb. hamburger, browned
4 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can mushrooms
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. oregano
3 cloves of whole garlic
1/2 lg. onion, chopped
1 can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar, pepper, salt

Simmer 6 hours on very low heat after mixture comes to a boil.
