SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
TOPPING:

1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
4-8 oz. chocolate chips

CAKE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth (batter will be thick). Put half of the batter into a greased tube pan. Sprinkle with half of the topping. Add the rest of the batter. Sprinkle with the other half of the topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes on bottom rack of oven. Cool completely before removing from the pan.
