CZECK CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 c. jelly or jam

Cream butter; add sugar gradually. Add egg yolks and blend well. Gradually add flour, then nuts. Spread half the batter in greased and floured 8 x 8 inch square pan. Smooth out. Spread with jelly and cover with remaining batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cut into squares to serve.
