HOT SAUSAGE 
1 lb. hot sausage
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can tomato puree
1 beef bouillon cube
1 sm. can mushrooms
1/2 to 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Brown sausage; add other ingredients and simmer. Be sure to simmer for some time in order to dissolve the bouillon cube.

NOTE: If you use the cheese, it will be saltier. The longer you simmer, the better it tastes.
