HOT SAUSAGE 
3 lbs. hot sausage
1 very lg. Bermuda onion
3 cloves garlic
Salt and pepper
1 (10 oz.) can peeled tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 lg. green peppers
Garlic powder
1 (29 oz.) can tomato puree

Brown sausages while cutting green peppers and onions into long strips. Fry green peppers 10 minutes. Add onions to peppers and fry until both are soft. Add puree, peeled tomato and tomato sauce. Add sausage and spices (to taste). Bring to a boil. Simmer at least 1 1/2 hours. Serve on buns.
