BEST EVER BANANA BREAD 
5 lg. bananas
4 eggs, well beaten
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

Beat bananas to liquid; add eggs. In separate bowl cream shortening thoroughly; gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add banana mixture. Combine flour, soda and salt and blend into butter. Stir in walnuts. Bake in two well greased loaf pans at 300 degrees for 1 1/4 hours or until firm to the touch.
