1 pkg. raisins
1 qt. water
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 qt. flour
Vanilla

Boil water and raisins until water is half gone. Cool before using.

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour and dry ingredients alternately with water from raisins. Add vanilla and raisins last. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
