OLD-FASHIONED RICE PUDDING | |
1 c. River Rice 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. water Use double boiler. 2 eggs 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. raisins or 1 full c. Sprinkle of nutmeg Cook rice in double boiler. Put in casserole. Beat 2 eggs and add 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Add teaspoon of vanilla and raisins. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Set casserole in pan surrounded by boiling water and bake at 350. Check often until golden and set. Enjoy as is or with cream. |
