GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
10 med. sized potatoes, boiled with skins on
8 slices of bacon, cut up
2 med. onions, diced
1 c. water
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water

When potatoes are cool, slice into serving bowl. Brown bacon and onions in frying pan until bacon is cooked. Remove bacon and onions and place on top of potatoes. Leave drippings in frying pan. Add water, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and vinegar to drippings and bring to a boil. Thicken with water-cornstarch mix. Pour sauce over potatoes and mix together. Serve warm.
