SUNSHINE CAKE 
9 eggs, separated
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
14 tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. cake flour (sifted 5 times)

Beat egg whites stiff, but not dry (add cream of tartar to egg whites). Beat yolks well and add sugar. Beat until very fluffy and light yellow. Add water and flour a little at a time. Then fold in egg whites. Bake in angel food cake pan--do not grease. Bake 20 minutes at 300 degrees and then 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Turn upside down. Cool and ice.
