APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
3 lb. eggs
3 c. chopped apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. vegetable oil
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Mix together all ingredients with a heavy spoon. If you use electric mixer use dough hooks because batter is very stiff. Pour all ingredients into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. When cake is hot from the oven pour glaze over all. The secret is pouring the glaze while the cake is hot.

GLAZE:

Combine 1 stick butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. Bring ingredients to a boil. Pour over cake.
