MARGIE'S APPLE DAPPLE CAKE 
1 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
3 c. flour
3 c. raw apples, peeled & sliced thin

Cream oil and sugar, then add the rest of the ingredients one at a time, beating after each addition. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar, packed firmly

Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar and milk, boil slowly for 3 minutes. Pour over cool cake. Enjoy!
