APPLE DAPPLE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
3 c. red Delicious apples

Beat oil and eggs together. Sift flour, sugar, soda and salt twice and stir in oil and egg mixture. Add vanilla, pecans and apple to mixture.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Glaze:

1 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. milk

Ten minutes before cake is done, mix and cook 10 minutes, stirring well. Take cake from oven. Punch holes all in cake and pour glaze over cake. Leave cake in pan 1 hour before turning out.
