1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. sour milk
1 c. stewed prunes, coarsely chopped

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Mix together flour, soda, baking powder, nutmeg, and allspice. Add to above egg mixture along with sour milk and prunes. Bake in 2 or 3 layer cake pans at 350 degrees until pick inserted comes out clean.

ICING:

4 tbsp. butter
1 egg yolk
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 tbsp. hot coffee

Mix together.
