6 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 thick c. sour cream

Mix the flour and baking soda together very well. Then beat the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla separate of the flour and the baking soda.

Beat them well. Add nutmeg and sour cream with everything and mix it all together.
