1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. Uncle Sam cereal
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar together until smooth. Add eggs, mixing well. Add vanilla. Combine flour, soda and all dry ingredients to first mixture. Mix until blended. On a lightly greased cookie sheet, drop by teaspoonful. Flatten down with a moistened fork. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Yield: approximately 48 cookies.
