SPICY MOLASSES DROP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, unbeaten

Cream.

Sift:

2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon and ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves

1/4 c. unsulphered molasses

Stir creamed mix and blend well. Shape into balls. Dip tops in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees.
