POTATO PLANKS 
3 med. potatoes, each cut lengthwise into eighths
Vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Set oven control to broil and/or 550 degrees. Place potatoes, cut sides down, in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch; brush with oil. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle potatoes with half of the mixture. Broil potatoes with tops about 3 inches from heat until potatoes begin to bubble slightly, about 10 minutes. Turn; brush with oil and sprinkle with remaining salt mixture. Broil until golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes longer. Serve with dairy sour cream if desired. 6 servings (4 wedges).
