MYSTERY CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
4 oz. cooking chocolate 1/2 c. boiling water 1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 4 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. buttermilk 4 stiffly beaten egg whites Melt chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water; cool. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks (one at a time) and beat. Add vanilla and chocolate; mix well. Sift flour and rest of the ingredients. Mix buttermilk alternately with flour. Put in 2 greased round pans or a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting. DELICIOUS! |
