AUNT JO ILIFF'S IRISH TEA CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. soured cream (not commercial - may use buttermilk)
2 c. sifted bread flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Mix in remaining ingredients. Put in greased 7 x 11 inch pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
