SAVANNAH RED RICE | |
1/4 lb. bacon 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 c. rice, uncooked 2 16-oz. cans tomatoes 1 tbsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. Tabasco Grease a large casserole dish. In a large frying pan, fry bacon until crisp; remove from pan. Crumble and reserve. Saute onions in bacon grease until tender. Add rice, tomatoes, bacon, and seasonings. Cook on top of stove 10 minutes. |
