OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 3/4 c. sifted plain four
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sift together dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly and eggs and vanilla; mixing well. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Chill 15 minutes. Roll 1/8 thick, cut with cookie cutter. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
