ORANGE SALAD (A GREEN SALAD) 
1 lg. head leaf lettuce, broken into bite-size pieces
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1 (2 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds, toasted
1 red onion, thinly sliced or 2 green onions, minced (tops, too)
1 avocado, diced
1 c. chopped celery (opt.)

DRESSING:

1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. Tabasco
4 tbsp. tarragon vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil

Shake dressing ingredients well to mix. Pour over salad ingredients and toss at last minute before serving. A delicious green salad!
