AUNT NANCY'S FRENCH BREAKFAST
PUFFS
 
1/3 c. soft shortening (butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Mix together shortening, sugar and egg. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Mix all together. Stir in 1/2 cup milk. Fill 1 dozen muffin cups. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Roll hot muffins in 6 tablespoons melted butter, then 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed with 1/2 cup sugar.
