APPLE SLICE DELIGHT 
CRUST:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg yolk
3/4 c. milk

FILLING:

4 to 6 apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

GLAZE:

1/4 stick butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Blend flour, shortening, sugar and salt; mix with fork until crumbly. Then mix in the milk with egg, working in with fork until dough is moist enough to roll, divide dough in half. Roll out 1/2 and place on cookie sheet.

Peel and slice apples, then place on the crust one slice thick, then sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon and dot with butter. Then roll out other half of dough and place on top of apples and seal the edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown. Mix together glaze ingredients and spread on top while still warm.
