BACK TO NATURE COOKIES 
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. honey
1/2 c. mashed banana
2 c. 100% natural cereal

Mix and sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add shortening, brown sugar, egg, honey and mashed bananas. Beat together until thoroughly combined, stir in cereal. Cover, chill 1 hour. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

HONEY BUTTER FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. honey
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. water

Beat together butter and honey. Gradually beat in sugar and water. Frost cooled cookies.
