BAKED CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
8 qt. popped corn

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt; bring to boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in the baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popcorn and mix well.

Turn into 2 large baking pans. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and break into pieces. Store in tightly covered containers.
