PASTA FAGIOLI | |
4 tbsp. olive oil (can use corn-vegetable oil) 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. chopped garlic 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. water 1 can tomato paste 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 lb. spaghetti 1 can Progresso white cannolini beans Break the spaghetti into 1 inch long pieces. Place in 3 quarts boiling water and cook until just barely tender. Drain and put aside. Saute garlic and onion in oil in large saucepan. Add paste, water and seasonings. Simmer 45 minutes. Add beans and cooked spaghetti. Let heat on medium 10 minutes. Serve. Serves 4 to 6. |
