PINEAPPLE CREAM PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, well beaten

Combine butter, sugar, salt, flour and eggs; add milk slowly stirring constantly. Cook over hot water until thick and smooth. Add flavoring and then add 1 cup well-drained crushed pineapple. Pour into a baked pie shell and cool. Serve with whipped cream. If desired, cover pie with meringue. This makes 2 pies.
