OATMEAL SCOTCHIES 
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter, softened (2 sticks)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla or grated orange peel from 1 orange
3 c. quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels

In bowl combine dry ingredients. In large bowl beat butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla or orange peel until creamy. Gradually beat in dry mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels. Drop by measuring tablespoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes for chewy cookies, 9-10 for crispy cookies. Makes about 4 dozen.
