STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE | |
1 pkg. yellow cake mix 1/2 c. sour cream TOPPING: 1 c. chopped walnuts 2/3 c. packed brown sugar 2 tbsp. melted butter 1 tsp. ground cinnamon MIDDLE PORTION (STREUSEL) : 2/3 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Oven temperature at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Prepare cake mix batter by directions on box except stir in sour cream. Spread 1/2 batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle batter with Streusel mixture. Carefully spread remaining batter, then sprinkle with nut topping. Place into oven to bake. Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar and enough milk to make drizzle consistency. Drizzle glaze over warm cake. |
