CHICKEN STEW | |
2 broiler fryers, cut-up 1 tbsp. oil 2 lg. onions, chopped 2 (10 1/2 oz.) pkgs. chicken gravy 2 cans sweet potatoes 2 tsp. marjoram or thyme (or 1 tsp. of each) 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. green beans (or 2 cans) 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper In large skillet, brown chicken in oil. Push to one side. Add onions; saute until tender. Stir in gravy, marjoram, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add green beans; simmer 10 minutes. Add sweet potatoes; simmer 10 more minutes. Serves 8. |
