LEON'S BEAN SOUP | |
1 lb. navy beans (soak 3 hours or overnight), drain well 3 carrots, sliced 2 med. onions, chopped 4 ribs celery, cut up 1/2 chili pepper, shaved 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 1/2 lb. ham, not lean 3 tomatoes, peeled & blended Salt & pepper to taste Cook 3 hours on medium, mash occasionally with potato masher. |
