CINNAMON SCENTED STRING BEANS 
1 lb. string beans
sea salt
1 to 2 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. olive oil
several garlic cloves, thinly sliced

Clean and trim beans. Steam until tender/crunchy, then remove immediately to a bowl. Blend in a few pinches each of sea salt and cinnamon. Stir-fry until tender/crunchy, then remove immediately to a bowl.

Stir-fry garlic in oil for a couple of minutes, and then blend with the beans.

Dash of Wisdom: The string bean strengthens the pancreas and kidneys; a half teaspoon of cinnamon daily is reputed to lower both blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

Serves 4.
