DATE PUDDING 
1/2 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. sweet milk
1 c. pecan meats
3 eggs
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
1 1/4 c. toasted bread crumbs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. of sherry wine (or 2 tsp. almond extract)

Cooking time 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven. Use dates you chop - NOT PRECHOPPED.

Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten eggs. Next add nut meats, chopped dates (don't use the dates already chopped - chop the whole ones) and sweet milk. Add flavoring last. Mix well and bake in loaf pan. Grease and line pan with foil. Bake until golden brown.

Serve with whipped cream or plain.
