DEEP DISH PEACH PIE 
8 to 10 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted & sliced
1/2 to 2/3 c. white or brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Deep dish pie plate lined with pie crust

CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. flour

Combine sliced peaches with sugar, salt, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour peaches into the deep dish pie plate. Combine topping ingredients to make a crumb mixture. Sprinkle over the peaches. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Then reduce oven to 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

I am baking this right now. I doubled the recipe for two deep dish pies and had WAY too much crumb topping. I also added crushed nuts to my crumb mixture.

I haven't tasted it yet since it still has a half hour to bake, but it assembles very easily!
