EASY (BUT DELICIOUS) CAKE 
1 (21 oz.) can cherry or other pie filling
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, do not drain
1 pkg. dry yellow cake mix
3/4 c. butter

Put cherry or other pie filling in bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Add crushed pineapple on top of filling. Sprinkle dry yellow cake mix over pineapple. Melt 3/4 cup butter and pour over top. Sprinkle chopped nuts over all. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 to 55 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip.
