RICE CASSEROLE WITH/WITHOUT MEAT | |
1 can onion soup (Campbell's) 1 can beef consomme Dash of Worcestershire sauce (to taste) Dash of Tabasco sauce (to taste) 1 lg. can mushrooms (sliced or stems and pieces, use juice) 1 soup can rice Cut up pieces of meat (beef, chicken, or pork, if desired) In a casserole dish, dump onion soup, consomme, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Sprinkle rice into mixture. Add mushrooms with juice. Dot with 1 stick butter. If desired, cut pieces of meat (beef, chicken, or pork) may be placed on top of the casserole. Bake, covered, at 450 degrees for 45 minutes. Then uncover and continue baking at 350 degrees for 15 minutes longer if no meat has been added. If meat has been included, then uncover and continue baking at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes longer. |
