MANICOTTI WITH MEAT SAUCE 
Cook 8 manicotti tubes according to directions; drain, rinse in cold water. In large saucepan brown the following:

Add: 2 c. water 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. sugar 1 crushed garlic clove 1 (3 oz.) can mushroom stems & pieces 2 tbsp. parsley 2 tsp. oregano

Simmer uncovered for 1/2 hour; stir occasionally. Combine and stuff tubes with 1/3-1/2 cup of the following mixture. 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 2 eggs 1/4 c. parsley 1/2 tsp. salt

Pour 1/2 of meat sauce in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Arrange stuffed manicotti in dish. Pour remaining sauce over manicotti. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
