1 gallon apple cider 1 cup sugar 2 cups water 4 sticks cinnamon 1 lemon Mix cider, sugar, and water in a large soup pot or slow cooker. Slice lemon thinly and add to the pot along with cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil; stir often until sugar melts, then stir occasionally, while simmering, for about an hour. Simmer at about 185-190°F, don't boil. Add grenadine syrup or a drop of red food coloring if you want a pink blush food coloring. Makes 30 cups. |
