TILLIE FRERE'S BAKED PINEAPPLE 
1 can (20 oz.) chunk pineapple, drained
3 well beaten eggs
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour or cornstarch

Mix together and pour into a buttered casserole dish (1 1/2 quart).

Cut 1/4 pound butter in squares and melt in frying pan. Brown five cubed slices of white bread in butter. Place on top of casserole and push down.

Bake about 1 hour in pan of water in 350 oven. Test as for custard.
