CHOCOLATE CRISPIES 
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 squares chocolate, melted
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla

1. Cream the butter and sugar, then add melted chocolate.

2. Beat in the eggs until thoroughly blended.

3. Fold in the dry ingredients and the vanilla.

4. Pour into a 9-inch greased and floured pan, sprinkle top with finely chopped nuts.

5. Bake in a 325 degree F. oven for 1 hour.

6. Mark into squares and remove from pan.

Yield: 1 9-inch cake to be cut in squares.
